I spent a lot of time while I was pregnant thinking about Cameron’s nursery. So much so that I procrastinated on it and we didn’t really even start on it until I was well into my third trimester. What’s the rush, really ya know? I was honestly kinda stressed about it. I have spent my whole life thinking about the little girl I would (hopefully) have one day, and what her nursery would look like. It was a lot of pressure honestly! I wanted it to be perfect.
I knew I wanted it to be a soft and feminine, and I definitely wanted to use blush and ivory, keeping the rest pretty neutral. This came as a real surprise surprise to my husband, as he thinks I just want to keep everything white all the time. NEWS FLASH I DO, but I just wanted to keep it light and airy, soft and girly.
We painted the walls Nearly Peach by Sherwin Williams. It is the perfect “Is it white or is it pink” color. My very-patient-husband painted everything himself after I finally settled on the color. It turned out even prettier than I imagined.
The furniture we used is my college furniture. I always thought it would be so perfect for a little girls room, and turns out, IT IS! I am pretty sure it was American Signature Collection, but it was from 15 years ago…sooo…probably not available anymore. The dresser makes the perfect changing table, and BESTILL MY HEART that her changing pad fit perfectly with the lines of the dresser.
This changing pad seriously is life. It wipes down easily, and I love that it is neutral and blends in.
This little corner may be my favorite spot. Tim’s grandmother gifted us the glider, and it is so comfy. It is the Quinn from Buy Buy Baby, in sand. I have spent a lot of time here, rocking and nursing my sweet babe. Even at 3 am, I still love our time in this cozy little spot.
The shelves on the wall came from Paxton Home, I think you can call the store and they may be able to get for you if you are not local! Same with the “For this child I have prayed” pillow! I also found the same shelves online here!
I absolutely LOVE her crib, and how it came together. We chose this crib, I love how classically vintage it looks, it reminds me of cribs when I was little! Her bedding is from New Arrivals, Inc, and I couldn’t be more pleased! We went with blush bedding from the Mackenlee Faire collection and I love the way her extra long linen crib skirt lays on the floor.
Her premium cotton blanket is backed with the sherpa lining, and we added her monogram to the front of it for personalization. She can’t sleep with the blanket yet obviously, but I think she will LOVE it, considering she is obsessed with super soft things!
The sign above her bed came from Hi Yall, Made in the South. My friend Rebecca who has a baby girl the same age as Cameron introduced these announcement banners to me. We took it the hospital too, and now it lives above her bed. I had never seen anything like it, and thought it turned out so stinking cute!
This little hanging rack came from the good ‘ol Hobby Lobby, and I keep little things people give her on it. Recently it has also become a bow holder.
On the wall beside her crib, we have this shelf filled with all kinds of little things. Her camera, her sound machine, pictures and keepsakes, and books of course! I always overdue it on the pictures, and ya know what–I don’t even care, I love them!! I wanted to include some pics of Tim and I as babies, as well as some favorites of my mom. How precious is the pic of my Nana holding my mom as a baby?! I love it so much. I also love the pic of my mom holding me. Cameron looks SO much like me in that baby pic (not that you can see it well!).
I also have to give my husband a huge shout out for hanging the wallpaper behind her crib all by himself. We decided to do the real deal wallpaper, so it was a challenge but he nailed it. It looks SO good. I linked the paper here! I wanted a small floral print, which was actually really hard to find, but I think it is perfect.
I really love how it came together. It is so calming, soft, and feminine. Just what I wanted for my sweet little baby girl. Cameron and I spend a lot of time in her nursery, even though she doesn’t sleep there yet, so I am really happy that I have a beautiful space to enjoy with her.
I linked everything that I was able to in the post, as well as in the shop this post section below!
