BLUE AND WHITE!!
OK so if we are friends IRL you are probably laughing right now because you KNOW I am not exactly… the biggest sports fan ever- (as evidenced by my knowledge of “George” and “The Marcus Cousins”) HOWEVER- I did go to UK, and dammit this is basketball country, and KENTUCKY and BASKETBALL= social highlight of the season. Seriously, people go NUTS for their basketball here, and LouLou would never want to be missing from such a social function. I wear my blue with the best of ’em (thankfully Express has embraced KY blue the past couple seasons!) and play quite the part of the Kentucky basketball fan. I even went to the SEC tournament for crying out loud… (never mind that I missed the final game to have drinks and blog in a bar…but whatever)
We had a big basketball weekend here in the Bluegrass and i am proud to say that UK is going to the Final Four baby!

I must admit, that I very much enjoy what happens to Lexington when the Cats are doing well. It’s like Mardi Gras… or spring break, but less ta-ta’s are exposed.
So in conclusion, I am sporting my UK blue (and even my UK blue lace panties, HA) for game day, and this is the one time of year you will actually find me paying attention!!

I'm so excited about this weekend!! I went to UK, but live in Charleston now. My bf and I are driving up Friday after work so we can be in town this weekend to party with all the fans. I'm hoping we'll be on the corner of Euclid and Woodland Monday night! Go Cats!
I cannot believe I am saying this after Coach Cal snuck away in the night to go to Kentucky, but I am rooting for them and VCU. I am still bitter with Cal, but I understand his reasons. He was just shady about it.
