Carrie Underwood, coupons, and {gasp} an award!!

I imagined this blog post going a little differently. I imagined a picture of me, standing beside Carrie Underwood, smiling like a 3 year old who just found out that Santa brought her a pink Barbie powerwheel. I am saddened to report-there was no meet and greet with the sweet angel diva Carrie. Even though I didn’t get to meet her, I had a fantastic time at the concert! She is so amazing, it really is incredible the set of pipes that chic has. She didn’t hit one bad note all night. She looked gorg as usual, and can I just say holy bling because her ring was blinding me from the stage. Here is my Carrie outfit, cowboy boots and all! And my wannabe Carrie hair. My camera is not cooperating currently, so I can’t grab pics from the weekend off there, so these iphone shots will have to do. The wedding was wonderful! It was great to see some people I hadn’t seen in a while. As for parents of the high school ex, it was so good to see them. As I was leaving I ran into my ex’s dad and he hugged me, gave me a kiss on the cheek and told me he loved me. How freaking sweet. They will always have a special place in my heart. Check that off the list of things to worry about.

In other news, I have been inspired recently by my coupon savvy girlfriends to try this coupon trend. Let’s face it, my checkbook has seen better days so I figured hmm why not save on things I buy anyway. So you all will be so proud, my first coupon shopping excursion was a success and I saved $17 on groceries. I was pumped. This buys exactly two glasses of wine at my next girls night out. Lovely.

I did however let myself buy these sweet pink flowers at the grocery store, because I was just in a good mood that morning and wanted to brighten up my bedroom.
Also, one of my most favorite bloggers Leigh Ashley gave me the sweet blog award! I was so excited! Leigh is one of the sweetest girls I have met through blogging, and you must check out her lovely blog. Her heartflet emails always put a smile on my face! Thanks girl!
