I love my bedroom. It is my little haven from my hectic life. Just snapped some pics this morning and wanted to share. Hope you likey!
This is a Derby hat I wore one year. I love it, but didn’t know what to do with it so I made it wall art!

Can you tell I’m a little nostalgic about my lovely sorority? 😉 One day when I “grow up” and have a home and a family, I want a UK/college room in my basement, where hubs and I can put all of our alma mater paraphernalia. Including all my ADPi stuff of course.
Below is a picture of my beautiful Nana, and my momma as a baby. This picture means so much to me. My mom was adopted after my Nana had multiple miscarriages. You can’t really tell, but in this picture my Nana is pregnant with my sweet Aunt Debbie, who passed away almost a year ago. She was an ADPi as well, and still means so much to me. I dream about her ALL the time. The most recent thing she told me in my dream was so incredibly real, that I woke up crying, just so touched by how God works. She told me that throughout our entire lives we are building our angel wings. Our wings grow with the good things we do, and they shrink just a little with the bad things we do. She told me “sweet Allie, I promise things will be a lot easier on you, and you will get to heaven faster if you do good things, and build your wings as large as you can while you are here. I love you, and I miss you”. I still get teary writing it.
This doesn’t surprise me though, that my Aunt comes to me in my dreams. My Nana does also. The most memorable thing she told me in a dream, years ago, was when she said “Time is different here. Just because I don’t come around as much as you would like me to, that doesn’t mean I am not thinking about you, loving you, and missing you. On a sunny day, when you feel a cool breeze blow, that is me.”
shew, tears again! What has gotten into me this morning!
The picture on the right, is of me and my cousin Lucy on her wedding day. Lucy is my closest cousin, and my Aunt Debbie’s daughter. She looks SO much like my Nana, it is unreal. My Nana was in med school, and Lucy is graduating dental school this spring. This has been an incredibly hard year for Lucy (and her sister Ginny, and her brother JD) but Lucy especially has been going through some tough things recently. Lucy if you are reading this I love you, and I am praying for you daily. Thank you for being more than my family, but an amazing friend. I know that one day, you will stand beside me when I get married, and support me through life, just as I did, and am doing for you. I love you sweet cousin!
And now here {finally!} is the pic. 😉
And just for fun, here is some adorableness I {still} need to send to my future little ADPi Baby girl L! Love this child.
(PS Kris, are you noticing a habit of me having things forever and needing to send them??)

I just love love love that hat!! Going to a Derby and wearing a hat like that is on my list to do before I die! Haha.
Also, that thing your aunt said is so inspiring to me. Thanks for sharing! =)
Cherish those things! I lost MANY loved things in a fire in April and I am in the process of rebuilding. I'm seeing the positives though.. but I miss those nostalgic things. Luckily, I still have a few things and my mom has some stuff that she had saved for me. I'm back home and getting ready to redecorate my new living space on the one side of her house and I'm realizing how important all the little sentimental things are. I love this post so much… you had no idea!

love your style lady! and all the pics!
Love the beautiful pictures of your nana and cousin. Your nana was seriously a gorgeous woman! You're a lucky gal to be blessed with so much family!
That is so sweet, I love that picture where she's holding your mom. I wish my mom would have been better about keeping pics!
LOVE this post Allison! Your cousin Lucy DOES look so much like your Nana! I have dreamed about my Nana before (lost her in 2008 to cancer) In my dream she told me she wasn't sick anymore. I truly think it is Gods way of letting us have some time with them when HE knows that we need to know. Shew. Cats lost both football and bball today and Enes is never getting set free. (Like that quick transition)
Love the room! Too cute!
Your room is so warm and inviting. I love how you have pictures everywhere!!

I have such a sweet spot for my sorority too. I love that you have your certificate framed. I need to pull mine back out and do that…love it!
your room is so cute and girly! I love your style.
I'm a member of the Chi Omega sorority and even though i graduated a few years ago, i'm still in love with the sorority, my experiences as an active member and the friendships I made. Being in a sorority was one of the best choices I have ever made. I'm so jealous that you have your sosority history book, that's such an amazing item to keep and cherish!
Thank you for sharing the stories of your nana and aunt, that was so sweet and amazing.
I've left you a Stylish Blogger Award. Check it out on my blog here – http://tinyurl.com/stylishaward
