Well recently I have just been getting annoyed with the upkeep. I love having long locks, but surprisingly my hair has gotten awfully long on it’s own while I’ve been masquerading around as a long haired vixen.
hmm…. anyways, so I realized that lo and behold my hair is almost exactly the length Carrie’s is when she wears it short. GASP. SHOCK. 😉
So I have decided to master her short lock looks. That is my plan for this weekend anyways. I’ll let you know my findings. Here is my inspiration.
I realize I might be one step away from hopin’ aboard the crazy train, and I am ok with it.
I think I got eerily close about a year and a half ago before I discovered ‘le weave’ and my hair was SUPAH short.

I don’t know, who am I kidding I have had two glasses of wine. (clearly I am writing this thursday night)
Don’t fret my friends, the weave will not be gone for good, I just want to be able to embrace my natural baby hair from time to time. I’ve noticed it freaks guys out to see you taking out your hair extensions. And unfortunately I have left pieces of my weave in unwarranted locales, talk about an awkward phone call.
We’ll see how it goes kids. It may be an epic #FAIL. I’ll be sure to video tape. With wine.

i love rocking my weave too girlfran, but i got so sick of the upkeep. i chopped my hair off for the summer and it has been soooo easy. i think you hair is gorgeous anyway you fix it. i feel you every step of the way with baby fine hair. i blame my mother hehe.
Your short hair-do looks pretty spot on to me! I would never be able to manage the upkeep of a weave, so good for you for continuing to do it part of the time if at all. I would've thrown my hands up and put it in a pony a while ago!
I want my hair to be able to do this! I just got it cut yesterday and now I think it's the same length as yours. Now I have an assignment to do this weekend 🙂

Reese's mom wears extensions from time to time and when I first met her she pulled it out of her purse. I was like ummmm … WHAT? Hair not attached to people's head scares me. Your weave fascinates me though.

I also wear my Jsimps weave from time to time. I always say that "you know it was a good night when you wake up in the morning and ask your friend, 'do you know where my hair is?'"

Girl, you can pull of either. If Lex summer is anything like Nash summer, it's near impossible to rock long locks.
One of my weave wearin BFFs always puts her "piece" {as we call it} on her air vent in her apt after she washes it. Sometimes it's hanging from her closet, poking out of her purse.. It's always a surprise when it's not in her hair. We tease her about it, but really I'm just jeal that I don't know how to properly wear "le piece"

last week i actually used your phrase, "if you lose your weave, it's time to leave" and cracked up laughing so much at how clever i thought i was and everyone stared at me. I was referencing it to my sister who had a feather extension in her hair and she thought it was gonna fall out
but regardless, weave or no weave you still pull it off amazingly! cant wait to see how it turns out!!

OK. Let me tell you. I have that same length of hair and it is as baby fine as it gets. If I want some beautiful waves in le hair I just put some wave cream in (I'm thinking about trying bumble and bumble surf spray soon!) along with some volumizing moose and woah baby! I usually get beautiful waves. Now you have to scrunch it with your hand while drying it… don't use a brush! Oh and of course follow all of that with a fair amount of hairspray… This Texas head loves some tresemme!

i have a weave too and i love it.. dealing with my hair isnt always a breeze and making sure it stays healthy is for the birds. I sew mine in so not to leave pieces in my drunken weekend stuppers …. *giggles* so yea i go thru this about every 4 months. lmao.
