Pinterest Success Story: TV Mounting & Hiding the Cords

I always get so excited when I successfully master a pin-spired project, because let’s get real-you can fail miserably veeeeery quickly. Nothing makes me laugh more than pin fails–‘nailed it’.

I have had a few successes in my day, mainly crafting seasonal wreaths, but I decided to branch out recently and go for a big one.

Voila. No cords friends.

It is odd how happy this makes me. Clean lines. no mess…I even have the DVR box hidden under the dresser so you can’t see it!  Bestill my heart–It’s glorious.

I just followed this super easy tutorial, except instead of using a drywall saw and cutting a hole, my friend Chrissy’s fiancé just used his fancy drill to make about a 1 inch wide circle hole. Worked much better. And he and the boyfriend also mounted the TV… I wasn’t about to mess with that. BUT–I did fish the cords through the wall all  by myself. So there you have it, I was useful. 😉

Don’t say I didn’t warn ya–Apparently, this little tutorial isn’t exactly “to code”, but those are just details right? Because it looks beautiful! Haha.

I am still working on the decor in my bedroom, things are just kinda thrown together right now. For my birthday, I want Hannah Maple to come do my entire house. LOL. A girl can dream? {Topiary’s are from Garden Ridge!}

I’m feeling frisky, like I can take on another pin-spired project…pergola and market lights perhaps? 😉

  1. I must admit that I'm a tad jealous of your Bob Villa abilities. We have the tv up on the wall in our room, and lets just say there are cords everywhere! I'm afraid to drill holes in the wall, because I can see it being a huge mess 😛

  2. Jenna says:

Y'all did a fabulous job! I love the look of the mounted tvs with no cords. We live in military housing and I don't even want to imagine what they would charge us for cutting into their walls. When we move into our forever home, game on! haha

I also love the "nailed it" posts, they make me smile 🙂

  3. Kenzie S says:

I've always wondered how easy it would be to do this, I love that it actually worked! Definitely inspires me to want to do it 😀

  4. P!nky says:

    So talented Miss LouLou! xoxo

  5. Looks awesome!! I love a mounted tv & not seeing any cords!!

  6. Lauren says:

Love it! Need to do this with ours 🙂

  7. Alyssa says:

This looks so good!!! I'm happy to hear it's actually not too difficult. I MUST remember this when we finnnnally get around to mounting our TV 🙂

  8. looks so awesome!! i hate cords too!
