I am excited to tell you all about a brand new product that Malibu has come out with, Malibu Island Spiced!

I for one am always on the hunt for low calorie cocktail options. So color me ecstatic when I learned that Malibu created a brand new rum with only 70 calories! It is infused with coconut, vanilla, and a tad bit of cinnamon, and is sweetened with Truvia®

Since I have been eating a lot cleaner, and I have cut out the aspartame loaded diet coke, this all natural sweetener was music to my ears.

I decided to try their three simple serve recipes below, as well as a few of their advanced recipes.

I am pretty obsessed with the Sparkling Spiced. I am a huge vodka and soda advocate, and this was similar except with a much better taste. It was light, crisp and refreshing. Perhaps my new go to summer cocktail? I think YES. 

The Spiced on Ice was good as well, when you are in the mood for a little more potent cocktail. 😉

I tried the Malibu Spiced and Diet Cola, but as I am really trying to cut out the diet coke, I do not think I will be choosing this option to enjoy this summer. I did however, love the lime garnish.

I also got a little fancy and tried these two recipes from their more advanced recipes. Do these not look like the perfect poolside cocktail? And they are so easy, especially the Lanai Bound.

The Ooh La La (love the name!) was sooo good. I am a sucker for grapefruit juice, so I of course had to try this one. It is a little more time consuming to make, but worth it 😉

In celebration of Malibu’s Brighter Side of Spiced, I asked the girls to join me for a girls night out, which they of course obliged. Per usual. We are pretty good at that!!

We all got prettied up and headed to my absolute FAVORITE restaurant downtown. Is this not the cutest, girliest restaurant you have ever seen??

Girlfriends are the absolute best. I am so incredibly blessed to have such a great group of girls to share life with. I think it is extremely important to make girls nights out a priority, take time for yourselves to let loose and have FUN!
