Easter dresses: Then and now.

Sooo, the fam and I were holding Family Feud practice yesterday (yes I am serious) when we got distracted by some old photo albums.
I give you, Easter, circa 1992.
Ohmaword y’all.
please note our large bows and excessive use of florals. Mom I will tell you, I am proud that you gave us headgear to match our dresses, although I feel fairly confidant that was Aunt Debbie’s doing.
And then there was ’93… I remember LOVING this dress. Check that sweet neckline… so grown up. My cousin Lucy also makes a cameo in this pic, sporting a fancy hat.
But then it hit me, not much has changed friends. Easter this year, my dress is almost the same colors as the glorious 1993 one! And who says styles don’t come back around?
{dress from Dillards and is my roomie Chrissy’s}:)

Ok it is not identical, but you get the jest. Also, I tried to steal this precious baby above at church. HOW cute is she??
Here is the sissy pic, Easter 2012. Hannah, we probably should have put you on my hip for this pic? I mean it does appear growing up that I thought you were my child, no?
(yes my parents dog is named Kevin)
So, in conclusion, Easter dresses are DEFINITELY cuter now. I mean look at the babies. (ps they are Kelly’s Kids dresses from Maegan!) Is this not the cutest picture you have ever SEEN!?!
I just adore them. Melt my heart.
I hope everyone’s Easter was just as lovely as ours was!

  1. Good thought! Me & my parents were just talking about all of me & my brother's past matching Easter outfits! Ha!

While scrolling thru, my 2 year old son said, "Look at those pretty little girls!" 😉 Hope y'all had a great Easter! =)

  2. Haha I love you old school easter pictures. My sister and I looked exactly the same! Big floral dresses and even bigger bows!

  3. mFw says:

You read my mind!!! When we were at the country club for brunch yesterday my grandma kept saying how much cuter the kids are now a days both hair styles and clothes. My mom kept disagreeing that she dressed me cute in the early 90s (I was born in 91). She didn't but we'll let her think that! I totally agree that kids clothes is so much cuter nowadays!

  4. Kaytee says:

loved your pictures. all children of the 90's rocked the floral dresses and now here we are again. i just bought a bathing suit that lisa turtle or kelly kapowski would have worn… WORKKKK IT,

  5. The bigger the bow, the closer to God? I kiddddd. LOVE that the dog's name is Kevin. Brilliant.

  6. Kay says:

I LOVE looking back at old Easter photos of my sisters, little brother, and I in coordinated (never matching) dresses.. the 90's were such an atrocious yet amazing decade for fashion.

ALSO- It is on my husband and I's bucket list to audition for Family Feud.. we often use being on our "team" as punishment or reward for other family members.. example: "I can't believe you ate the last piece of pizza, you are totally cut from our Family Feud team."

Is your family actually going to be on the show?!

  7. Heather says:
