Motherhood is hard, makeup doesn't have to be.
I simplify makeup for busy moms.

Oh ma word…

Since you lovelies often ask about my hair, this was going to be a “how to” post on the ever popular “I didn’t wash my hair this morning, but I am rocking a poofy messy bun thingy”, however, that post is no longer.
I snapped this pic for evidence of said messy poofy I didn’t wash my hair bun thingy, when I saw it.
Cue scary music.
wrinkles.

(ok so they are harder to see once uploaded… but they are right there on my forehead. TRUST me!)

Is this a joke? I mean I realize I did graduate high school almost a decade ago, but seriously??

WRINKLES? I am 26. What gives?
I knew immediately who to turn to: you fine beauties. Please help a sister out here and tell me the absolute best skin care, anti-aging, make me look like Demi Moore skin treatments out there. What must I be doing daily? What must I not be doing? I told Kris in Houston that I once heard sleeping in your makeup one night ages you seven days, is this true?? Because I sometimes, eh forget, to wash my face if it is perhaps 3 in the morning, and I have been participating in activities of the adult beverage variety. So therefore, on any given weekend, I am potentially aging myself 14 days. According to said calculations, if I didn’t wash my makeup off at night two nights a week for a year, I would have aged TWICE as much!?
This has to STOP!
OK in all seriousness, I think the culprit of these supposed wrinkles on my forehead may be due to the fact that I am a chronic left eyebrow lifter. I don’t know why, but I am. I took another pic for confirmation and here is exhibit B of the wrinkles sneaky culprit.
I give you eyebrow lifting, at its worst.

So ladies HELP! Let me know all of your skin secrets. I admit to being a makeup enthusiast, but when it comes to skincare, I am embarrassed to say, my routine is lacking.
I fell better just admitting the problem.
Anyways,I’m off to my spray tan appointment. You see, I am skin savvy enough to stay out of those nasty little tanning beds 😉
Love love, heart heart, and thanks in advance!

Oh my lordy, do you look this adorable at work every day? You are too cute! I have no wrinkle advice – I have terrible lines on my forehead. I think I frown too much. I blame law school.

  2. Michaela says:

Sorrt I'm of absolutely no help on the wrinkle front but your hair is so cute like that 🙂

  3. ummm….not sure if this works, and it's kinda gross, but have you thought about using hemroid (sp?) cream…seriously, I hear it's great stuff. That, washing your face, and keeping it super oober moisturized is all I got…but just so you know, I'm waiting for the bun post. ANd I still don't see the wrinkles if that helps. 🙂

  4. Kasey Lynne says:

oh my gosh hahah you do NOT have wrinkles! you are so funny! BUT, i have alot of friends who use different Mary Kay skin products and they LOVE them!

    CAHHHH-UUUUUUUTE hair!!!

  5. A secret to wrinkles… Jojoba oil!! The oil is very much like human skin oils ..it's like replacing the oils of your skin that you naturally lose over time and when you age that causes dryness and wrinkles… this stuff works like a charm! It's really good for your hair too.. just put a few dabs in your shampoo every once in awhile and your hair will feel amazing! Your body soap too to keep away all chest, face, arm, etc wrinkles!

  6. You do NOT have wrinkles… but I definitely need to work on my skin regimen too!!

  7. Natalie says:

Listening in… I have wrinkles on my forehead that I am anxious to make less noticeable!

  8. Sophie P says:

No no no Miss LouLlou!! I know we are at the tender-spring-chicken-age of only 26 but I forbid you to try and rid yourself of these beautiful lines!! (ok, I know you're not talking botox here but even still, we can't have a pretty pink loulou feeling down about these things…) They add character and gorgeousness to anybody, Demi Moore is just a desperado- sorry but I can't stand this new breed of 40 somethings trying to be us! I mean- they are like wanting to cut our lunch or something! Just wear a high factor on your face and take make-up off at night maybe…Embrace these bad boys and don't feel upset.

Rant over!! lOts of love XXXXXXXXXX

  9. Beth says:

am i blind? b/c i see no wrinkles. and i love your "didn't wash my hair messy poof bun thing."

i did some research (for my own late 20's wrinkle) and found out that Oil of Olay Regenerist is the top around. I can't give you recommendation from personal experience b/c i haven't bought it, but i've heard it works well and it's pretty inexpensive.

  10. Meghan says:

Ok you know how a guys face is always pretty much wrinkle free where he shaves well that is due to the constant exfoliation of the skin. I personally really think exoliation helps to prevent wrinkles alot. You should try some products that are for exfoliation. I took it up a notch and went to the derm and got a prescription for retin-a. I am only 25 and use it every night. My mom used it when she was in her 30s (plus put sunscreen on every morning) and now her skin looks great for her age. I hope I was able to help a little.

  11. I haven't given much thought to wrinkles (and neither should you, silly girl!) but your hair does look pretty adorable like that!

  12. Jessica says:

Girlfriend, you are gorgeous and have ZERO wrinkles! 😉

  13. Katy says:

Girl you are not wrinkled! i am wrinkled, I was reading the comments hoping for some advice too! After I had my baby, my forehead is scary. I need botox for real. Your so pretty, you have nothing to worry about.
    xo

  14. Katherine says:

retinol is the only thing that actually help wrinkles. or so i hear. idk. i try not to lift my brows. i'm not kidding. i am like always aware when i'm lifting my browns and then i stress. but when i study i ALWAYS make weird faces. and recently i've been getting all these fine lines under my eyes, which i think come from sleeping on my tummy/face.

    fol (fuck OUR lives)

haha kidding. i bet the only reason you can see any wrinkles is bc your makeup has gotten wrinkled or like caked in the creases when you lift your brow. your skin probably goes right back to normal.

  15. Samantha says:

Girl I dont see any wrinkles! (:

  16. Girl, no wrinkles, however, the hair is uh-dorable! Please give us the how-to!

  17. Tarryn says:

Hahah – did you read my email where I was like OMG wrinkles – I totally started using my eye cream again yesterday (neutrogena clinical eye lift contouring treatment)!! I totally do the eyebrow lift too. One of the doc's I worked for does hyaluronic fillers (like botox but natural and not a paralyzer) and I've been begging for some injections on my forehead!! Three years ago she said no because they didn't stay too long but sadly now they stay! I was actually thinking of asking her if I could get some this morning! 🙂 I don't see any wrinkles but I know the feeling because people think I'm nuts! Love the hair! 🙂

  18. Ashley says:

Your are so adorable girl! I see NO wrinkles!!! But then again they say we are our biggest critics right?!?! I'm 26 and I think I look like I'm teetering on lookin like I'm 40!! HA! I too hate to admit it but I really have no skin care routine either! ANYWAYS…I want to see the bun post!!! I love your hair in the pic!

  19. Catherine says:

    I swear by this….https://www.arbonne.com/shop_online/showitem.asp?ProductId=818&menuId=253&withLinks=1
Arbonnne's 5-Step anti-aging skin care. I heard about it from the lovely Ellen and I swear byt it now! The products are a fresh orange/citrus smell so it's soothing at night and so refreshing in the morning! It's pricey, yes, but it lasts forever I have a great rep who can offer dicounts and such. Can't put a price on good skin though 🙂

  20. Kelsey says:

Not that I see any wrinkles at all but I heard that the marykay anti aging stuff is really good. My sister sells that stuff and she loves it!

  21. Oh stop with the wrinkles! I just started using Mary Kay and it's amazing totally see a difference already.

P.S. bought the chi last night.. AMAZING! Love it.

  22. Kerr says:

Ok I did not wash my hair this morning and it looks NOTHING like yours. I am going to need to you move to Charleston and do my hair in the morning, k? great.
I am currently into the Olay Regenerist line. I use the face wash and face cream and night cream. The commercial won me over "it beat out $800 creams…."

  23. Whitney says:

Peter Thomas Roth skincare line is amazing! but sort of pricey.

  24. Christine says:

I second the Arbonne creams! They smell good and I swear the night cream is magic! My face feels baby soft when I wake up! You can find good deals on amazon or ebay so you don't have to pay $$$. I know how ya feel girl, who would have thought 25 and I'm researching wrinkle creams?! I tried the Olay Regenerist and it made me break out… but I also have super sensitive skin so it might work for you! Good Luck!

  25. You don't want to hear this (and yes, I know this post is old as all get out), but drinking A LOT of water and avoiding Diet Coke – pretty much caffeine/carbonation as much as possible will make a big difference. I feel your pain. I'm diabetic and the hardest part of it is my totally unhealthy diet caffeinated beverage addiction.

Good luck! I love your blog. I am NOT a girly girl – but I enjoy your humor. :)I will admit that I do envy your KY poof, though.

    🙂

  26. Okay.. don't mind me stalking your entire blog.. mostly the part labeled all things girly. First of all let me say- I see no wrinkles in this pic. But also let me say- forget the millions of creams, retin-A etc. BOTOX is the BEST. I have two older sisters and a gorgeous mom and I've seen the way it works. Seriously, use Wal-Mart face lotion and get botox.

    P.S. I LOVE your blog.
