Yep. That is what Kristen heard when she told her friends I was coming to Texas!! ha ha.
This is perhaps one of my favorite stories ever. Thursday night my bloggy BFF Kristen and I were on the phone just chattin as usual and this is the conversation that took place.
Kristen: “hey girl! what are you doing this weekend??”
LouLou: “Oh not much really…”
Kristen: “So you want to come to Texas??”
LouLou: ” UMM absolutely!!!”
Kristen: “YAY!!!!”
Ha. Ok. So right now you are thinking we are either a.) crazy or b.) so fun and spontaneous! I choose fun and spontaneous! Kristen and I met months ago through our blogs, and we just happened to click immediately. Emails turned daily, and then phone calls and texts became the norm. It took us about 3 emails to decide that we are in fact sisters from anotha motha, ha and we just knew we were going to be great friends.
I could write a freaking book about why I love this girl, and about our weekend. But Kristen already beat me to it!! What sweet Kristen failed to mention is that she so freely donated skymiles of hers for the last minute flight. So generous, and so sweet. I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t even have time to get little gifts ready for her and her roommates because it happened so fast. But I have the perfect gift in the works ;). The girls are just like me which makes finding gifts a heck of a lot easier! ha.
I am so happy that we had the opportunity to meet and have a freaking blast of a weekend! It’s really funny, I never ever imagined to meet such a good friend through this silly little blog. Y’all have heard me talk about my girlfriends from college, and I am pretty obsessed- and it is so funny because I feel like Kristen is one of them!! It is hysterical, I have never met someone more like me in my life. I feel the same way about her friends, I LOVE them, and feel like I have known them forever. I cannot WAIT to be able to return the awesome hospitality she showed me, and have her and her friends up here to KY to meet my girlfriends, and to see KEENELAND! I just know they will LOVE it. And we shall give them all Kentucky poofs! haha.
Kristen, girlie don’t even get me started! I had so much fun with you, and am SO happy we are both just crazy enough to do a spur of the moment thing like we did! You are my little Taylor Swift (except way prettier and less awkward when you dance, HA). It is so neat how God works, He knew what He was doing by letting us find each other! You are so awesome, and I love you, and your friends and TEXAS! I will be back soon for more stetson stealing, taco cabana (is that what it is?) eating, galleria shopping, two-stepping, and vodka soda drinking. I cannot wait for you to come to KY so we can film more hysterical flip videos and I can show you the ponies! And I might let you borrow more of my shoes, but aim better this time 😉 bahahahaha.
