Baby Girl L, The Prettiest Little Angel Ever!

I have to take a second and brag on my friend Emily’s sweet baby. Remember Emily from this post? And this post? Well I have mentioned before that my girlfriends and I have a LARGE email chain that we constantly use, and just yesterday I got a baby girl L update that brought tears to my eyes. Baby L just turned one month old, and Emily had written out a list of things about the sweet girl in her first month. It was so sweet. I just want to squeeze her and put a large pink bow on her head and a blingy paci in her mouth. Even though she apparently hates paci’s.

{side note: what baby hates paci’s? my parents had to pry mine out at the age of 5, and I then learned to suck my thumb… and did so until I was far to old for it to be in any way socially acceptable.}

Here is the precious bebe, and the large bow and blingy paci Aunt Allison has made for her.

{ok so I couldn’t find a pic of the exact bows I made for Baby L, but they are just like these on my twins. ps. Look how little the babies are!! they grow SO fast!}

  1. I know we always say how alike we are BUT once again I was like "no freakin way" when I read your paci comment.

    I was literally obsessed with mine too. My mom still tells people to this day that she seriously thought she was going to have to send me to Kindergarten with mine. She would throw them all out and they would think I was over it after about 3 days of crying and I would come out of my room, paci in mouth or bottle top if I was desperate, with one I had stashed somewhere (momma didnt raise no fool…I hid them when I figured out they were chunkin them out)!!

    Too CUTE!! Love the pics and that baby girl is Presh!!

  2. I love that she is laying with her little bunny blankey… just like her auntie Kate!

    She is so precious… Ali I expect you to be planning the "All Aunties Vaca" to visit!!!

  3. Meghan says:

    Absolutely love those bows! Please share on how you make them!!!

  4. Julia says:

    I love those bows and those babies!

    I'm new to your blog and I just read your About Moi section. I, too, was once engaged and called it off. In hindsight, it was the best decision of my life.

  5. Lindsey says:

    Loving that blinged out paci- how cute! 🙂

  6. Oh my gosh cuter than words are these babys! How did you make these pacis and bows? I'm in love! I bet your friend Emily's chronicles of month 1 were such a good read. 🙂

  7. I love that adorable paci! Nice work!

  8. Sophie P says:

    Very cute dummy! (That's what we call them over in the UK- no one would understand what a 'paci' is!)…
    My mum never gave me a dummy, I have a teddy called Boris who still keeps me company in bed- it's a bit of an embarrassing problem at 25 years old! The parents thought a dummy would be a problem but it turns out my teddy bear was the pacifier I couldn't give up in my life! xx

    Elon Musk stood next to President Donald Trump in the Oval Office on Friday, but the physical proximity belied a growing philosophical divide between two of the world’s most powerful men, resulting in the tech mogul’s abrupt announcement that he is departing Washington — without having achieved his goal of decimating the federal government.

    Trump took a more charitable view of Musk’s tenure during a sprawling news conference in which he also declined to rule out pardoning Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is on trial on charges of sex trafficking and other alleged crimes; said he dislikes “the concept” of former first lady Jill Biden being forced to testify before Congress about her husband’s mental fitness; and predicted again that Iran is on the cusp of making a deal that would suspend its pursuit of nuclear weapons.

    In a battle of plutocrats against populists, Bannon, a longtime advocate for reducing the size and scope of government, found Musk’s methods and policy preferences to be sharply at odds with those of the MAGA movement. So, ultimately, did Musk, who broke with Trump repeatedly on agenda items as narrow as limiting visas for foreign workers and as broad as Trump’s signature “big beautiful” budget bill — which Musk belittled for threatening to add trillions of dollars to the national debt.

    “I was, like, disappointed to see the massive spending bill, frankly, which increases the budget deficit, not just decrease it, and undermines the work that the DOGE team is doing,” Musk said in an interview with CBS’ “Sunday Morning,” which will air this weekend.

    “I love the gold on the ceiling,” he said.

    Musk has argued that inertia throttled his efforts to reduce government spending — a conclusion that raises questions about whether he was naive about the challenge of the mission he undertook.

    “The federal bureaucracy situation is much worse than I realized,” he told The Washington Post this week. “I thought there were problems, but it sure is an uphill battle trying to improve things in D.C., to say the least.”

    On Friday, he drew an implicit parallel between American government and the Nazi regime that committed a genocide, invoking the “banality of evil” that Hannah Arendt used to describe the atrocities in Germany.
