Motherhood is hard, makeup doesn't have to be.
I simplify makeup for busy moms.

Sooo… are you sleeping naked?

I can’t tell you how many questions I got from my #sleepnaked tweets! haha, it was hilarious. While some of you may actually enjoy sleeping naked, that is not exactly what I am talking about here.
I am talking about sleeping naked, like sans makeup people. We all spend hours and hours researching, applying, and buying makeup… but it is JUST as important (if not more!) to know how to properly remove it!!
Sleeping in your makeup is a big no no, and not just because it messes up your pretty little pillow case. TRUST. It also effects how you look over time, and I know I am not the only one who wants to keep her twenty-something skin 😉
Other reasons to remove your makeup include:
1. Your pores will appear smaller! Not allowing makeup to build up in your pores and cause breakouts is a HUGE plus in my book.
2. Most makeup products contain numerous chemicals that when aren’t properly removed can cause damage to your skin in the long run.
3. It allows for the natural exfoliation process of your skin, which will prevent your skin from looking dull!
4. Leaving eye makeup on can cause the skin around your eyelids to dry out, and we all know that is no bueno, moisture is the key to youth people!
5. Properly removing lip makeup can prevent your lips from again prematurely!
And this is why I am encouraging all of you ladies to #sleepnaked!! Swisspers Cotton is doing a huge giveaway for those of you vowing to take it all off, and sleep naked! Just visit their facebook page here!
You know what helps me sleep naked?
{fantastic little headband I got at Bed Bath and Beyond. You don’t even need a pony tail holder, it just keeps all your hair up!}
and these. Swisspers cotton rounds. They come in all different sizes and types. The exfoliating ones have little scrubbies on one side to help remove that makeup, and dead skin cells! LOVE!
As well as their products to remove makeup, they also offer wedges for application of makeup, lotions, toners, you name it.You can find these super cute pink and black items sold at most drugstores, and you an find tips on taking it allllll off right here
Now, I know all too well that sometimes you are just too darn tired, or perhaps you were out a liiiiiittle too late (talking to you college girls) to take off your makeup. I use to do it to. But STOP it!  Join me in vowing to sleep naked for the health of your skin! I promise you will thank me in ten years!
Check out the Swisspers Facebook page to enter into a giveaway to win $50 and a years supply of Swisspers products!! Click HERE!
Now who wants to sleep naked with me?!? 😉

You already know my answer to this question 😉

  2. I take my makeup off first thing when I get home from work. I literally crave it when I'm driving home from the office! So, I use makeup remover and a little moisturizer around 5:30pm, then fully cleanse my face before bed. I feel gross if I'm not sleeping naked! 🙂

  3. Clarissa says:

The pugs shirt is the best ever.

    Totally agree – #sleepnaked!! Woo!

  4. Babygirl says:

OMG…I can't even see your whole shirt, but I know that I must get one, where did you get that pug shirt? And great post btw…gots to have a clean clean face 🙂

  5. I absolutely REFUSE to sleep with my makeup on. My bedtime routine includes makeup removal, brushing teeth, and stuff… it winds me down for bed and I get a better nights rest!

  6. Rebecca says:

What products do you use to remove your makeup?

  7. Rachel says:

I absolutely cannot fall asleep with my makeup on! As a fellow 20-something, I love reading your posts 🙂

  8. Lindsey says:

I just realized your blog name changed. And what are all these ads on teh right? Is this what you text me about?

    And yes, I sleep naked.

  9. Lauren says:

Love this post. You're so right. I don't wear makeup every day, but if I'm going out/am around people I'll put it on. I usually try to take it off, but sometimes I just get home way to late and don't feel like taking it off. I've noticed my skin DOES look duller when I do that. Yikes! I'll definitely be taking it off each time, from now on!

  10. COMPLETELY agree. I only sleep with makeup on if I get a little too drunky and need to hit the sack asap
