That is right. We are trying something new around here, and that is a weekly Q&A sesh with the PLL. Lately I have been super overwhelmed with life, work, Simply Flawless etc, and it seems my inbox has turned to squalor. (the BB’s favorite word!)

My sorority sister Rachel actually messaged me about doing something like this a few weeks ago.

I thought it was a great idea, and would help to streamline the Q&A process, and my inbox!! So I set up a NEW email, just for Ask PinkLouLou Thursdays!

This way, your questions will not get lost in my other PLL email, where EVERYTHING goes (including every store email EVER) and they will be easy to find and quickly address 🙂

Each week I will answer a few of the Ask PinkLouLou questions on Thursdays! I have seen a pattern in commonly asked questions, so I think this will help a lot of you at once! (hopefully?! HA!) Feel free to ask anything, I mean anything. Hair and Makeup, work, life, where the HECK that one guy went to?!? HA. no but really, anything is fair game, so go for it.

You guys are so awesome, and I feel so awful when I get busy with life and let my email get… behind. I am really hoping this will help me stay organized, and help me stay in better touch with each and every one of you. I have been super reflective lately… (PMS anyone?!) And just want you all to know how much EVERY comment, and EVERY email means to me. I try to respond super quickly, but sometimes life gets the better of me!

Anyways, here is our FIRST Ask PLL Thursday letter!!

First things first, I understand the nerves! you want them to like what you do, of course! The main thing is to not make them look like someone they are not. Just try and make them a better version of themselves 🙂 Make sense? For example, I can get away with a lot of eye makeup, because I ALWAYS wear a lot of eye makeup, haha, but some other people may be like “what the heck did you do to me, I look like a drag queen!” haha. So just try and get a sense of what they like, maybe even find some pictures together so you are both on the same page of what you are aiming for.

As far as lasting all day, primer is your friend. Use a primer pre-foundation, and also puuuleeease use an eye primer, or a MAC paint pot to prime the entire lid. Will keep eye makeup in place 🙂 Also for eyeliner, I like to line first with a pencil, and then over top with a liquid. That shizzz a’int moving. 😉

Also, I like the setting sprays for makeup that MAC offers, and also Urban Decay. They are to use after all of your makeup, kinda like hair spray for your face.

Hope this helps some sweetie! Just do the good work that you do, and just be who you are, makeup artist wise, because really, that is why they asked you in the first place! They LIKE what you do!!
