Motherhood is hard, makeup doesn't have to be.
I simplify makeup for busy moms.

Addendum to Yesterday’s post

Y’all had questions?
I have answers.
1. Le dress.
Hails from Ann Taylor. Not sure what season, but it does belong to my roomsie Chrissy.
Say Hi Chrissy.
Chrissy is a gem and always lets me borrow anything I want 😉 and duh, door swings both ways. We like to share. What can we say.
You might be able to find the dress online? Perhaps ebay? I feel fairly certain it is no longer in stores 🙁
 SADZ.
Sidebar: I have looked for that darn gold top on Target online to no avail. I swear it is from Tarjay, and I got it on Friday. So run to your local super target and get yoself one.
2. Let’s talk makeup, yes?

I had several questions on my foundation, and also lip color.
1. I have been using Revlon Photo Ready foundation in 006 (yes 6, not 5). I discovered it when I got spray tanned and quickly needed to grab something a little darker. I fell in love, and now here we are. Very reminiscent of Make Up Forever HD foundation.
2. I have been applying it with a stipple brush. Makes it look airbrushed. 😉 I got the elf one because I wanted to try it before I invested more than a couple bucks in this technique. (you can youtube makeup videos on how to use this brush… I did. HA!) PS LINDSEY LEE LOU LOU the 1st... thank you for introducing me to this brushy. Did I ever tell you I love her? bwahaha love you Linda.
But now that I like the technique so much, I have my eye on this baby.
It is a little more dense, and the bristles are shorter, ergo, I think I would like the control better. I’ll keep you posted..
Scratch that. Miss French Lovah just sent me over to Sigma Beauty, and I am now convinced I need these brushes.
I’m like a marketers dream…
Anyhoo, I finished with Make Up Forever HD powder. Run, do not walk to get this.
3. Lipstick. I love this color. I usually go for light pinks and neutral colors, but this baby has a little more coral in it. It is Buxom lip stick, in New Orleans.
4. Top it with my most favorite clear shine gloss, Too Faced Mirror Mirror gloss in I know you want me, and voila. Perfectly kissable lippers.
And no, my lips did not kiss anyone Saturday night. Pshh, Bogus.
Anyhoo, hope that helped!

  22. Lauren says:

I use the HD finishing powder too. Great stuff!

  23. I use that foundation too!! Many years (and pounds LOL) ago, I was a pageant girl. I went to a coach, Cyrus, who briefly had a show on TLC. I had always gone for the pricey cosmetics until Cyrus told me the stuff at WalMart was just as good. That did it for me. I hardly ever buy department store anymore (with the exception on Hoola by Benefit, best bronzer I've found). I use elf brushes also!! Great minds think alike! 🙂

  24. Sara Avery says:

I love the makeup. I am going out today to buy buy buy. Would you possibly do a makeup tutorial????

  25. Ashley says:

I'm in dire need of some new makeup brushes- Sigma Beauty's look like they'd cover all the bases!

  27. Heather says:

i want the sigma brush set SO SO bad lately! but i haven't had the nerve to spend the money on it yet. they have a travel kit too, which looks like it would have everything you need for $50.

  28. Stephanie says:

You are definitely a Marketers dream. Operation replicate your make-up bag in full effect.

  29. Whitney says:

sold me on the foundation and powder! thank you!

  30. Aimee says:

I heart my Sigma stipple brush. My life aka skin has never been the same since.

  31. wow thanks for the insight with the makeup I am sure I will have to make some addition or subtractions myself but these are good tips

  32. The Aly Way says:
