Motherhood is hard, makeup doesn't have to be.
I simplify makeup for busy moms.

The one where a pair of Christian Louboutin’s almost call for an amputation.

Ok slight exaggeration, I was nowhere near amputation BUT, the events of Friday, and my foot, are still making me cringe.
Blister gone WRONG is what I will refer to this traumatic experience as. I wore my Loubie’s to a board meeting on Wednesday. Standard. I am a pro at heels, I mean common I spend 98% of my time in 4 inch beauties. Sometimes blisters happen, no biggie.
WELL, this blister was straight from the fiery pits of you know where. It was fine Thursday, but by Friday afternoon my ankle was so swollen you could hardly see my ankle bone, was blazing hot, and I could barely walk, AND I had a fever. Enter cause for concern. My boss saw it and told me to go to he Doctor immediately, so of course, I high tailed my hiney over to the Dr. in fear that I would have a peg leg come Monday.
Doctor said it was infected (no telling why) and that I needed antibiotics stat. I spent the entire night Friday in my bed, with my foot elevated, and sidekick Sadie by my side for moral support.
However she wasn’t the best nurse, that bish slept the whole time.
Anyways, 12 hours later I felt like a new woman, and was even able to go to my friend’s wedding in Indy, in heels none the less.
Wedding was super fun, and we even negotiated our way into 50% off our hotel room, woop woop! 😉
Katie was a beautiful bride!
Chrissy and Jenn, pretty girls!
Boozebag Carol 😉
Precious couple!
Gorgeous venue!
Common, are we shocked?
Annnnnnd my favorite thing to wake up to.  Apparently I thought this was hysterical, and an ‘oh so funny’ trick to play on the bouncer. What is wrong with me? That is ridiculous.
You may be asking yourself why I have this? Well, that is because Lil’ Lou knows me far too well, and decided that if anyone needed this, it was in fact yours truly.
Sadie is putting together a post for you this week. She’s excited.
Also, I am thinking about doing a giveaway or something fun when we reach 2,000 followers, cause that is insane. Ha!
xoxo lovely ladies!

I was pleased to see the picture had a bandaid over the injury. Sorry about your infection, but I lol'd to the peg leg comment.

I feel like I haven't talked to you in 10 years but really it's only been a few days. That's what happens when you have a whirlwind bday weekend.

How is the foot now? You look perdy as usual. Love the ID!

Apparently Beth and I thought shooting chocolate whip creamed vodka into the toilet at the bar and pretending it was poop was hysterical. So sick. But fun nonetheless.

Detox for real starts tomorrow. No more WW drop out for me.

This is a very random comment but I'm just in a random mood.

  6. K_stets says:

  22. Day Old News says:

Why is Carrie Underwood living in the industrial city of Emeryville? And I love that some dude is holding up your ankles for that photo…because they needed to be elevated?

  23. Katie says:

Awwweee glad to hear you're on the mend! Adorable dress in the pics!

  24. CaitEmily says:

SO Sorry about your injury! Im considering getting a pair and I was just wondering if the Louboutins are really worth their price?

  25. Caroline says:

Boozebag… bisshhhhh. Please. I just like to sample everything before I pick my cocktail of choice for the evening. You call it boozebag, I call it strategic. xoxooxo

  27. Baaahahah that license makes me laugh! Glad your ankle was better for the wedding… I definitely hobbled around in stilettos at a wedding earlier this summer, and it was not so fun. Nothin' a few cocktails couldn't cure though!

  28. Aly says:

Glad you are feeling better! Crazy that Loubies will do that to ya!

  29. MaviDeniz says:

"That bish slept the whole time" lol hilarious and definitely something my dog would do. I'm glad you ankle is better. I heard Loub's are notorious for being painful to walk in. You would think that shoes that could feed a small village would be super comfortable hehe

    Xo

  30. Holy cow your poor ankle!!! Glad all is better and no amputations were needed!

  31. Marjorie says:

Ouch, that looks painful! Glad you're doing better now.

  35. Raven says:

I'm thinkin' that Sadie needs a pretty stern lesson in taking care of his momma… I have two boys that I drill that theory into so I can help if need be.

and who was the lucky lad that got to touch Miss PLL's legs in the Carrie shot? Lucky bastard is what he is…

  36. CMae says:

OUCH! don't know how you wear 4 inchers LOL I couldn't!

Is Carrie Underwood really only 5'4"? according to your "ID" there LOL I thought she was a wee bit taller?

  37. Shannon says:

Oh, Allison! Your poor foot!! Those Loubs will get ya everytime! I hope you getting to feeling better soon so you're not hobbling around 🙂

  38. aub says:

Bless your heart! At least you pulled thru for the wedding! Gotta let ya know, I was having a pretty crummy day, but that story definitely made me giggle a bit. Sorry to laugh at your pain! 🙂

  39. Michelle says:

I love the dress you wore to the wedding!!! So cute!!!! I'm so sorry about your foot! I just started running again and I rubbed myself a little blister from hell too. Thankfully mine didn't get infected but it hurt like a mutha. Good thing you had that cute little nurse to help you out, even though she slept! Have a good week!

  40. Summer says:

I'm glad you're feeling better! My brother had the same type of infection on his foot when he finished boot camp for the marines. My mom took him to an urgent care center that night and he was put on antibiotics that helped right away. Can't believe yours was caused by a pair of Loubies! Still super jealous of that hot pair of shoes!

  41. Ashley says:

Oh girrrrllll! Look at that sausage foot lol That seems to happen to me everytime I wear heels, no blister necessary. I'm just that cool.
Glad you had a good time in Indy. I love it here =)

  44. Kerr says:

I didn't know a blister could be so bad! Glad you got better!

  45. S says:

Ouchie!! Glad to hear you are on the mend!

  46. Kate says:

Haha. I would of loved to have seen the bouncer's face when you showed him with Carrie's ID. That's too funny!

Hope you're foot is feeling better, My fiancey was in the hospital last week for a freak infection too. It was extremely painful for him! But, you know how guys are when they are sick…. 🙂

  47. I'm gonna need to know what bra you're wearing in that dress since it's obviously AWESOME and doesn't show, even w/a low cut dress!! I've been on the hunt for one that doesn't show when I wear low cuts or Vs or pretty much anything, haha.

And omg that ankle! So glad you didn't come home with a peg leg.

  48. Oh is that the reception room at the Omni Severin in Indy? We stay there for the colts games, love the chandelier!
