Gimme that
I hate nothing more than seeing someone I care deeply about hurting. Someone who has helped me through so much heartache, and has been there for me countless times. All I want to be do is be there for her right now, and I have no idea how to make it better. I can’t help but think if this situation were reversed, she would know what to say, and know how to make me feel better. I just feel like I don’t know those things, but I am going to try my best to just wrap my arms around her and love her through this hard time!

Sad morning ladies. One of my best friends Melisa-Beth {see below} and her sweet roomie Corrie lost their sweet puppy Moses last night. Such a sad story. My heart goes out to both of them. It is so hard to lose a pet, especially so suddenly, and at such a young age.

Moses got sick last Thursday. All of us gals from work had been out having drinks, and I remember talking to MB on the phone on my way home and she was telling me that Moses got sick, and she was cleaning everything up. Neither one of us thought much about it, but that he probably had a stomach bug or something. Melisa-Beth and Corrie took him to the vet on Friday, and everything appeared normal and great. His blood work came back fantastic, and he seemed the normal healthy 9 month old lab that he had always been. Over the weekend things got worse, and fast. It was clear that something was not right, so another trip to the vet ensued and an x-ray found a blockage in his intestine. They did surgery to remove the blockage {apparently part of a toy} and found several other complications. Moses was in critical condition, and it was crucial that he rest and get better over the night. MB and Corrie saw him about 9:45 last night, and then got a call this morning that he didn’t make it through the night. I have not spoken with MB this morning, but we have been texting, and she is at home with Corrie, as they are both in shock. It happened so suddenly, and so unexpectedly, I think it is just really hard for the two of them to wrap their heads around it. Please pray for my sweet friends, I just ask that God wrap his arms around the two of them, and alleviate some of the pain that they are dealing with. If you have ever lost a pet, you know how hard it is, but I cannot imagine losing a sweet pup so young, when you think you have years and years ahead of you. I just feel so bad for Corrie, and Melisa-Beth. Moses was their little baby, and I know he is playing with my sweet Bandit in doggie heaven currently. I love you girls, and remember, all dogs go to heaven.

This is absolutely heartbreaking. Literally a week and a half ago I was in the exact same position with my 4 year old chocolate Lab. (He had eaten a bunch of dirty laundry, it was stuck in his tummy and we weren't sure if he would make it, but he did.) I am so sorry their fur baby didn't survive this, I don't understand why God does the things he does sometimes. Moses is in heaven now and I am sure he is happy and in peace there. Sending love to your friends!

Ah no thats very sad! your a very good friend. I had to put my dog down and it was very very hard. I felt a little silly as an adult crying and saying things like "I just want my dog" but its true. Animals love us unconditionally. But the good thing to remember is that he had great pet owners who cared for him, and tried to help in any way they could.

  17. Whitney says:

    That's so sad 🙁
