My Embarrassment for the Day

Thanks ladies for all of your comments on yesterdays post. I now know exactly what I shall do to attain Carrie’s legs. a.) actually work out b.) take what I am currently eating, and cut it in a third and c.) rub vitamin E all over my gams before I leave the house. Ok that’s a little trick Mo and I use to do in college, trust me, it works. Gives you that Carrie Underwood shine. And ps Annamarie- I was laughing out loud at the Audrina cankles comment. Can’t believe I never noticed that before.
Anyway, the point of this post is to tell you about the ridiculous embarrassment that was the end of my work day. It is perhaps the stupidest thing I have ever done (ok maybe ONE of them) and it just so happened at the end of a very stressful/emotional day. Did I mention I am PMSing?
Soooo… I got an ad in the mail from one of my clients, who I have talked to multiple times this week on the phone about some artwork that he was sending me. So when I received the ad, I decide, hmm Brian is a nice guy, I will ask him to be my friend on facebook, and send him a little message that says “Hey Brian! Thanks for the ad, glad you didn’t have to drive it to Lexington to get it to me in time! Just wanted to say hi and creepily be your friend on facebook” (VERBATIM).
It takes me about 5 seconds to realize… holy eff. I am not logged in my name. I am logged in Rob’s name. Panic Ensues.
{Meet my Rob friend.}
Why am I logged in Robs name you ask? Because he made me log in earlier to copy some message he got for this Bachelorette thing he is doing etc and send it to him. Completely forgot I was logged in as him and well, apparently it keeps you logged in.
i.am.mortified.
So I then send Brian my client this awkwardly long email explaining to him that I was accidentally logged into my friends account, and to please ignore any friend requests, and messages from a “Robert J Franklin” . I’m pretty sure that I have ruined any professional relationship with Brian.
Update? Brian accepted my friend request, but he didn’t respond to any of my messages… OUCH.

  1. Jess says:

Haha! Totally done that before! I went to send a message to someone and as SOON as I hit "send" (of course!) I realized I was still signed on under my friends account. Don't feel bad! And that is annoying about Brian not responding, is it just me or do you hate when people do not write you back and then you creep on there and realize they have been on there since you messaged them? GOOOOD OLE FACEBOOK! haha

  2. Jess says:

Omg, I just saw your comment on my blog! haha Yesss ma'am…..Campton, Ky…which is like right outside of Winchester….YOU KNOW HER??? hahaha She was in a sorority at Morehead…Delta Gamma.

  3. Morgan says:

    oh whoops!

    I'm sure it'll be ok.

And I so want to wear shorts soon and rub vitamin e all over my legs. does it soak in? if I sit down on a leather couch, will I slide? hahaha I'm picturing that right now. that would be my luck

  4. Laura says:

    I got one for you.

When my father joined facebook he accidently said yes to the find friends through email thing. So it sent an email to everyone in his address book, regardless if they were on facebook or not inviting them to join and be his friend. The really bad part is my dad is a Sargent who has worked for Harris County Police dept for almost 25 years. So he just sent an email to every person he knows professionaly. He was so embaressed and still gets flak from several higher ranking officials.

  5. Jessica says:

How awful! I have done the same thing. Logged in under my best friends account to do some, uh, ex-stalking (it was a long time ago) and accidentally wrote on several friends walls as her.

  6. Ms. BWIT says:

I'm the queen of doing stuff like that, but your embarrassment was definately my humor for the day. Thanks girl! He'll reply sometimes! Hahah!

  7. Oh how funny! That is annoying that he didn't respond!

  8. asj says:

I always do that logged in as my husband but I write on peoples wall and the things I say look even sillier coming from him!

  9. Amber says:

Oh no! That's an honest mistake. Very easy to do – don't worry about it. At least he accepted your friend request.

PS – I tagged you on my blog today! 🙂

  10. Tarryn says:

Oh no! It could be worse – at least you realized you were logged on under his name?? Have a fabulous Thursday!!

  11. Robert says:

If any other of your blog followers want to creep/stalk any guys via my FB–feel free–I charge just a nominal fee!!! Oh Allie, you have to step up your game!!

  12. Oh no!!!! At least it's a funny embarrassing story instead of a really bad embarrassing story!! 🙂

  13. Venassa says:

Ouch. At least it's not too bad. Like when my friend sent a ranting email to the person he was ranting about accidentally. And if he didn't learn his lesson then, when he tried to email a friend about what had just happened, he sent that email as well to the person he'd been ranting about.

  14. Haha that is too funny! I have done that too but with a wall post, so awk!! Hopefully he will write you back soon 🙂

  15. OMG yes that's bad news bears.. Eh if he's young which I hope he is maybe he'll brush it off as nothing. I hate when people don't respond..

  16. Whitney says:

Oh no girl! I'm sure that he will respond to you 🙂

  17. Mighty Burns says:

lol OOh no you poor thing. That Facebook is tricky!

  18. Awkward Turtle!! Hahahaha! :
