La Discussion: Underpanties.

I was reminded at work today why it is important to make sure your panties, bloomers, knickers, shelflifters, thongs, draws, whatever you want to call them, FIT appropriately. Yes ladies, panties are are a necessary staple of our wardrobes, but improperly fitting underthings can lead to an array of fashion faux pas, such as the wandering wedgie, the camel toe, the skanktastic peek-a-boo thong, or my least favorite what I like to call, the it’s no secret my bikini cut panties are too small. Seriously panty offenders WHAT are you thinking when you walk out of the house? Panty lines are perhaps without a doubt one of my biggest, and most avoidable petpeeves. With the invention of Hanky Panky, I find it shocking that it is even possible that women are having such trouble avoiding said infraction. So I have decided to enlighten all women, not that you ladies would ever have panty lines, but yes I am talking to you, middle age woman from accounting {I have changed description to protect the guilty} I do not want to see your super tight bikini briefs, covered with your super tight poly blend pants. Its just no ok. You have to realize before you walk out of the house that your caboose is a clear advertisement for
What Not to Wear.
Allow me to suggest the Hanky Panky. I love these panties. They are adorable, comfy and *bonus* they never never show under the tightest, most slinkiest of fabric! They are divine! See…
The only downfall? Their pricetag. LouLou is on a budget always and must keep the $18 indulgences to a minimum.
Luckily, our girl Vicky makes a fantastic knock off! I luhuuuve these, and the best part? Five for $25. Holla! I am a sucker for a good deal. And they come in super cute prints like polka dots and shabby chic rose prints (you know I love these!) The babies call these my “sadie panties” because of the little dog icon. ha ha. *bonus* look how the new line has rhinestones on the lace!

I need these pink rhinestone panties. If they don’t say PinkLouLou I don’t know what does.
So in conclusion ladies, throw out the nasty blue satin, metallic star printed bikini bottoms that you have had since 1996, and go for a classier, seamless don’t even know you are there panty. You will feel much better, and I promise you, I will feel much better when walking behind you.

  6. Monique says:

Those two first pictures are mortifying!! I came across your blog over on "There she is". You have a lovely blog 🙂

  7. Natalie says:

The VS Lacey's are a good choice too. They are 3/$30!

  8. Meghan says:

Hells to the yes girl! 'Nuff said 🙂

  9. See, I absolutely don't care about panty lines until they're squeezing your chub out of all three sides like in your Exhibit B up there. Kohl's and JCP have some fab knock-offs at well, but those rhinestones are great!

  10. hahahahahah this post is amazingly hilarious as well as so very true!

  11. Laura says:

hanky panky panties are amazing! but those photos are horrifying, eek.

  12. LOL!!! Love those pics! It's amazing to me that people leave their houses looking like that!

  13. melissa says:

Those pictures are horrifying! I agree – it seems that the memo on VPL has not hit the middle aged generation. Do these women not have daughters or friends to clue them in? How do they not know that going out with your old lady brief lines showing is just not good. And easily avoidable. A well fitting thong is your friend ladies!

Love this post and you for writing it! You always crack me up!

  14. This is soooo true and soooo funny! 🙂

  15. KMB says:

SO funnY! I call it the VPL- VIsible panty line… no one likes to see it. I constantly harass my mother about it to the point that I picked out underwear for her personally and purchased them for VS. Underwear for your mom, weird? Yes. A necessity? Again, yes.

  16. Tarryn says:

This is an amazing post!! I hate underwear lines OMG! Now are these thongs better than the VS lace ones that look like them? I was just saying I needed new ones this morning so let me know =)

  17. I started laughing so hard the second I opened up this post…SO FUNNY! Panty offenders definitely need to take notes here…there are several everyday at my workplace. Yikes!!!

  18. Amber says:

Hahaha!! I also HATE panty lines. They are simply tragic.

  19. Oh my goodness, those first few pictures are horrendous!!!

I hate panty lines!! Love hanky panky's too ~ and the VS one size lacey is a great supplement! I own many pairs.

    Love this post!

  20. Brown Girl says:

I agree, get you some hanky pankys, those suckers rock!! I'm still confused how one size fits all works though???

  21. The Wife says:

That picture cracked me up! I hate seeing panty lines!

  22. Abby Farnham says:

you can get hanky pankys at the saks off fifth outlet for much cheaper! i love them.

  23. I only wear Hanky Panky's. I've never tried the VS version, but I probably should do that soon.

  24. Jill says:

I have never tried the Hanky Panky but I own many other skimpy draws! Not a fan of the panty line….and your pictures cracked me up despite grossing me out!!! How do these people not KNOW how awful their backside looks?! I mean, I don't care how big you are, wearing too small undies ain't helping the situation back there! eeeek

  25. Jennie says:

    Oh girl.

    1. I LOVE THESE…they're amazing. I discovered them a year ago & Ill never go back!

    2. They sell them at wolly world for $2.99!!!! Seriously. They come in so many different cute colors! I have about 765 pairs of them…LOVE! 🙂

  26. Mighty Burns says:

Lol. I have a panty purchase problem! I love them!! To no end I tell you. And I have those pink panties lol I am a firm believer in a twirl before you go out to make sure these lines aren't there!

  27. The pictures kill me!! PS – I'm wearing the amazing undies from heaven at this moment. I buy mine at Old Navy and Target. I have lots of Vickie's undies too, but I can usually only afford them during the semi-annual sale. I love new undies so much that they're usually on my Christmas list. 🙂

  28. Cassie says:

Haha! I own several pairs from V.S. and just love them!
