Let the Blogging Begin!

Hello everyone! I have decided that after countless hours of blog stalking all of my friends, that it is time that I too start sharing my life with the world!

For those of you who do not know me, I am a twenty-something girl born and raised in Lexington Kentucky! I’m a Wildcat-cheerin’, sorority-supportin’, Keeneland-tailgaitin’, country-music -lovin’, Univeristy of Kentucky grad! I love all things romantic and girly. I am so blessed to have a great family, amazing girlfriends, and a passion for living life to the fullest.

I have been out of college for two years now, and can personally attest to the fact that the years between college, and having a family of your own, are without a doubt the most unsure and confusing years of your life. Don’t get me wrong, I totally enjoy the freedom and fun that comes with being finished with school, but trying to navigate through life’s big changes and choices often leaves me wondering which way is up.

Careers.Relationships.WEDDINGS.Relocating.Family.WEDDINGS. Bills.WEDDINGS.BABIES!! All of the above at some point in one week cause me stress! I don’t know about everyone else, but my friends have been hit with what I like to call “Wedding Fever”. I attended 8 weddings last summer. And so far, in 2009 I am in 3, attending 5. Again, don’t get me wrong, I love weddings. I love romance. I cry during every chic flick. But for us hopeless romantics, who dream about love and babies, the wedding fever sometimes stresses us out! So, I am currently learning to sit back, relax and let things happen when they are suppose to. I promise not all of my posts will be about weddings, but I felt this was a good place to start as I am a twenty-something, in a relationship, but nowhere near matrimonial bliss. Sometimes, with all the wedding fever in the air, I think us single twenty-somethings get caught up in “I do” thoughts, and forget to enjoy the freedom that comes with being young, independent and able to have the time of our lives. I plan to enjoy much more of this!

I cannot wait to dive into sharing my life, thoughts, and tips for fabulous twenty-something ladies in future posts, but for now, I am going to call it a night, and a successful first post!

Miss Pink Lou Lou – I decided to check out your very first post bc I am brand new to blogging. Did I mention that I am so in love with your blog!? You definitely inspired me to create my own. I have the best time reading your posts about hair and beauty, fashion, diy projects, & fun girly stuff! Do you have any tips for starting out? I feel like my blog needs so serious love… I only have 3 followers compared to the 100's and 1000's that other girls have – its kind of intimidating!

Can't wait to hear back from you,

    Jackie

  2. Dear Pink,

I suddenly wondered, "Wonder what PLL's first post looked like?" So I checked it out. Wow! 😀 Weird to feel like you know someone through their blog, then go back to way before now. So glad you kept at it! LOVE it!
