For many reasons, HA, but mainly I discovered yesterday that being in front of a camera is SO not my thing. I really don’t know how people are comfortable with it?! Maybe practice?
So I had some head shots done, (for Simply Flawless/blog promo stuff) and the whole time I was like legit sweating and thinking “where does this arm go, is my hair ok, did i put on ligloss? Do I have fat arm, OMG-do I have a lazy eye?”
Talk about anxiety people! Luckily I had the best of the best instructing me, and making me laugh with her amazing sense of humor.
Meet Alicia. We have talked about Alicia before, because she has photographed every wedding I have been in/attended {like for real}…

I wanted to do pics at my house, just casual/cutesy in my living room, closet and bedroom. We had SO much fun. Alicia is hilarious, and even though I was nervous and uncomfortable she assured me I did a good job (remains to be seen, LOL)
I wore jeans and a plain white v-neck t-shirt, barefoot, just plain and casual! A la Jessica Simpson, nothin’ but a t-shirt on video…except I had on pants. Well, most of the time. 😉 I kid I kid…
I also threw on a tan blazer and heels for some more profesh ones.
Upon entering my closet Alicia went straight for the sparkles, and insisted I put on this sparkly Arden B number for a few pics. She is le artist, so I listened, and they will probably be the best ones!
Luckily, Lauren Ashley was there to catch these ridiculous moments on film.
Stop. This makes me laugh so much.
As fun as it was, I was super relieved to have the photo sesh out of the way. Lauren Ashley and I ran straight to Drakes to celebrate with a large blue moon and california roll. Nom nom.
If my pics turn out anything like her other work, I will be beyond thrilled. She is so awesome. Here is some proof of pics she has done of my friends 🙂

And good news girls, she travels!! I know that Kaytee found her through my blog and had her fly to do her wedding! Totally worth it girls. 😉

Love this! I was so awkward in both of our engagement shoots, even though we had amazing photographers both times- I hate being in front of the camera! You look amazing as always though!

Girl, I am with you on never being able to model. I mean, obviously the camera loves you, but I don't think I would ever be comfortable! Good thing you had a rad photog who sounds like she made things easier. I'd be that awkward girl all the time, never giving the camera a good pic. Thank God no one's ever asked me to do such a thing 😉
